Welcome to Pewaukee High School--home of the Pirates. At PHS we pride ourselves on maximizing the academic potential of all students while fostering an environment that promotes positive student citizenship. With strong academic and extracurricular programs, PHS is indeed a "hidden jewel of the Lake Country."

2008-09 Initiatives
2007-08 was an outstanding year at PHS. A near perfect graduation rate coupled with excellent ACT and AP scores exemplify our successes in meeting our Mission of maximizing the academic potential of our students while fostering a safe and structured learning environment to promote positive student citizenship.

The 2008-09 school year has us focusing on the following initiatives:

1. Refining course Power Standards and Essential Content (making sure we're focusing on the "right stuff." 2. Continuing our focus on increasing critical thinking in all of our courses. 3. Continuing our focus on non-fiction writing. 4. Continuing our focus on moving all students to a level of proficiency (C- or better in all classes).

I am confident we have the programs and personnel in place to continue our pursuit of excellence!
