| NEW PRINCIPAL FOR THE HIGH SCHOOL |

With the reassignment of Mr. Patrick DeJong to the Superintendent/Mission Advancement Director of MVC, Mr. Jeff Droog will take over as the high school principal for the upcoming school year. Mr. Droog has been most recently working at Unity Christian in Orange City, Iowa. Mr. Droog will also serve as high school Athletic Director and Varsity Girls' Basketball Coach. He and his wife live in Mount Vernon. They have four children.

| NEW TEACHERS COMING TO MVC |

The 2010-2111 school year will bring two new instructors to the campus. Mr. Luke Baeslack will be teaching Sixth Grade in the middle school. Mr. Baeslack graduated from Taylor University in Indiana. He has been teaching primarily in Burlington. He enjoys hiking, reading and music. He and his wife live in Mount Vernon. Mr. Joel Adeline will teach Mathematics, Science and several electives at the high school. Mr. Adeline graduated from Grove City College in Pennsylvania and taught last year at Mintz Christian Academy in North Carolina. He is interested in soccer, enjoys the outdoors, and the Reformed tradition. He and his wife will move this summer from North Carolina.

We have launched an online shopping site where a major portion of the rebate for shopping with a vendor will be returned to the MVCS Legacy Campaign. If you click on the link indentified as SHOP MVCS you will sent to our site where you can choose from a variety of vendors. By clicking on the vendor logo you will be redirected to their shopping site and major portion of your purchase rebate will come back to MVCS. This is not intended to replace our script program. The rebates are not as large. We intend only to capture as much of the rebate money that is available as possible for our school.

| HISTORY |
The doors of MVCS grade one through eight opened for the first time in September of 1951. Miss Clara Bolkema was the principal/teacher of upper grades and Mrs. Helen Schoolland was teacher for the lower elementary grades. Fifty-five students were enrolled. A third classroom was built in 1960 but was soon expanded to four. The Kindergarten was added in 1977 and the High School in 1983. Portable classrooms were added as needed for Middle School and High School use. A new 42,000 square foot high school facility opened its doors to students and our school community in September 2008.
