An Effort to Reduce Paperwork and Increase Communication
In an effort to reduce paper use and improve how quickly we are able to notify parents or guardians of student behavioral issues we will be piloting sending student disciplinary referrals home through e-mail to parents or guardians that have provided the high school with a primary e-mail address. Instead of automatically mailing a paper copy of a behavior referral we will e-mail a copy of the behavior referral as an attached pdf file as notification to parents. The e-mail software we use will automatically send an e-mail back to our school indicating that the e-mail was opened by the parent or guardian e-mail address.
We hope that e-mailing these notices on the day we process them will provide quicker notification to parents regarding student discipline issues. We also are optimistic that e-mailing these documents will ensure that the document is read by the parent or guardian in the most timely manner possible.

|
We will still send paper copies of referrals to families that do not indicate a primary e-mail and we will send paper copies if we do not receive automatically generated response e-mails within two business days of initially e-mailing the referral. If you have any questions concerning our effort to deliver this information in a more direct and timely manner, please contact Rick Waski (Principal) at 655-1310 ext. 502 or e-mail me at rick_waski@marshall.k12.wi.us.
