| Winter Outerwear Collection |
|
Winter is coming, and there are plenty of needy people in Waukesha County who need to stay warm. Help Cooperating Congregations of Waukesha County (CCWC) Clothing Shop by donating gently used or new coats, snowpants, hats, mittens, and scarves (any color, any size, children's, women's, men's). Just drop them off at the PLE office during conferenes.

| 2007-2008 SCHOOL PERFORMANCE REPORT |

All parents and guardians who desire a paper copy of the 2007-2008 School Performance Report (SPR) for Pewaukee Public Schools may request one by e-mailing wongwen@pewaukee.k12.wi.us or calling 262-691-2100, ext. 6526. The 2007-2008 SPR information is not yet available through the Department of Public Instruction, however, when is does become available, you may access it at http://dpi.wi.gob/sig/index.html.

| Fire Prevention Week |
As part of fire prevention week, kindergarteners visited the Pewaukee Fire Department.

| Breakfast With Santa & Mrs. Claus |
|
Come join the fun! Saturday, December 5, 8:30-11 am the Pewaukee PTO is sponsoring Breakfast with Santa & Mrs. Claus. To allow for accurate ordering and preparation, tickets are being sold through November 24. Just stop by the PLE office to pick up an order form. Adults $4.50 and children $3.50, with children under 2 free. Any questions, please call Joann Bell at 262-695-6977.

| Preschool Screening |

Pewaukee Public Schools offers preschool screening to parents of children 3 or 4 years of age who are not currently enrolled in the early childhood or 4K programs. This screening takes approximately 45 minutes. Through a play based assessment, the Early Childhood and Speech/Language screening staff look at social and communication skills along with small and large muscle development. They are also available as a resource to parents to answer any questions. If you would like your child screened, please contact the Pewaukee Lake Elementary office at 262-691-2100 option 3, #2 to make an appointment. Upcoming dates are Friday, December 4th, and Friday, February 19th.

| Veterans Visit |
Mrs. Brown, our guidance counselor, invited Veterans in to talk to children during guidance class. They talked about "what is a veteran" and shared their experiences.
