Open Enrollment applications will be available beginning at midnight February 1, 2010 on the Department of Public Instruction website. Applications may be submitted online by going to: https://www2.dpi.state.wi.us/OpenEnrollApp. The Open Enrollment period for the 2010-2011 school year is February 1-19, 2010. In accordance with State Statute, applications cannot be accepted earlier than February 1 or later than February 19 at 4:00 p.m. Please contact Julie Toole at 262-691-2100 extension 6037 for additional information.

Are you tired of winter? Looking for something to brighten the gray days? Here's your chance to add some color and excitement to your life! Come to the Tile-A-Mile Event on Saturday, February 20 in the Pewaukee High School cafeteria from 10:00-1:00 p.m. This event will feature many fun, art-filled opportunities including the chance to purchase a ceramic tile for $10.00. You will then get to paint the tiles and leave them behind to become part of the mile long art installation at the high school. The proceeds of this event will benefit the Pewaukee High School Visual Arts scholarship fund and programs. Other exciting activities will be a bake sale, refreshments, face painting, artist demonstrations, a raffle/auction of art stools and other prizes. You can pre-order your tiles with the flier sent home or available in the Horizon office.

Horizon has a new school secretary. Her name is Mrs. Lisa Pellegrini. Mrs. Schudde has moved to North Carolina due to a job transfer for her husband. Please stop in the office and introduce yourself to Mrs. Pellegrini.
