| PEWAUKEE'S GOT TALENT |
PHS "Friends of Fine Arts" (FOFA) would like to announce that this year's "Pewaukee's Got Talent" show is scheduled for April 24, 2010. Once again, the show will be hosted by TODAY'S TMJ4's Craig Koplien (PHS drama and choir alum). Last year's show raised over $9,400 which directly supports the fine arts in the Pewaukee schools. If you would like to make a donation to the show (either cash or an item for the silent auction), please log on to the District's home page and select the "Pewaukee's Got Talent" icon on the leftside. Here you will find a donation form which needs to be completed and submitted along with your donation.
All Pewaukee residents, school staff, students and alumni are invited to the March 30, 2010 audition for Pewaukee's Got Talent show. Audition forms, as well as ticket forms are also available at the previously stated location. Requests for audition appointment times should be directed to: tiefkat@pewaukee.k12.wi.us

| ATTENDANCE REQUEST - OFF CAMPUS PERMITS |
Families are encouraged to make doctor/dental and other personal appointments after school hours. When that is not possible and you need to pick your child up during the school day, please send a note with your student stating the time and reason he/she needs to be excused. Students are to bring notes to the office before first period to obtain an off campus permit. Students must have an off campus permit to leave the building. Please do not call the office in non-emergency situations to have your child released from school. When students return to school from appointments, they must check in with the office secretary. Students should never be in any Pewaukee School District school unsupervised before or after regular school hours.

| 8TH GRADE - 1:1 LAPTOP INITIATIVE |
During the week of January 25, 2010, 8th grade students will be bringing home their laptops to complete several tasks including connecting to home Internet, accessing Moodle, and sending their resource teacher an e-mail. A letter outlining this process along with a troubleshooting guide have been mailed home to all 8th grade families. In September, 8th grade students and their parents signed an "Acceptable Use Policy" form and a "Laptop Student Expectation" form outlining the expectations and liability with regards to the use of a District issued laptop. These forms, as well as instructions for home wireless Internet set-up and NetStorage (an application that allows students to access their school files from home) can be reviewed by selecting the following icons to the left:
