Parental Contract and Acceptance Form

To be discussed and signed by the parents (and secondary students) at the Admission Committee Interview

Following the interview, a signed copy of this form is returned to the parents with the school’s letter of acceptance

 

1.       We (I) will, to the best of our ability, raise our child(ren) in a home where Christ is the center, including regular attendance in a Christian church.

2.       We (I) will teach our child(ren) to obey the biblical precepts mentioned in the Ten Commandments and in the summary of those Commandments given by Jesus Christ in the New Testament.

3.       We (I) will provide a time and place for our child(ren) to do their homework.

4.       We (I) will support the rules of behavior for students as stated in the MVCS Student Handbook and the School Directory.

5.       We (I) will support our child(ren)’s teacher and the school administrator in discipline situations.

6.       We (I) will, if we have concerns regarding a discipline situation, in a loving, Christian manner, discuss our concerns with the teacher and/or the administrator, following the principles established by the Lord Jesus in Matthew 18:15-17.

7.       We (I) will support Board-established school policies.  We further agree that any disagreements we have with Board policy will bring our concern to the attention of the Board through proper channels, following the Matthew 18 principle.

8.       We will participate in the Family Service Program of MVCS.

9.       We will attend Parent Orientation activities and Parent-Teacher Conferences when scheduled.

10.    We understand that Mount Vernon Christian School does not discriminate with respect to race, sex, or national origin.

STATEMENT OF MVCS ADMISSIONS COMMITTEE REPRESENTATIVE—

This Parental Contract was reviewed at the Admission Committee Interview conducted on ____________________.

The Admissions Committee, having heard the applicant’s pledges of support and commitment specified on this Contract, has decided to enroll the applicant’s child(ren) subject to waiting list restrictions if they apply, and subject to timely payment of school fees.
